On November 7th, YouTopia hosted a Diwali dinner and dance gala event at Aashirwaad Palace in Rockaway, NJ. Over 200 people attended, and we certainly did dance the night away! Through ticket sales, auctions, and our generous sponsors, we were able to raise over $10,000!
These funds went towards P.R.I.D.E. a non-profit organization that benefits rural villages in India. Specifically, the money will be used for early childhood care and development of children in the age group of 0-5 years.
P.R.I.D.E. (Planning Rural-Urban Integrated Development through Education) was founded in 1982. The non-profit organization’s focus is to promote development in the rural areas of India. Some of their key projects include Early Childhood Care and Development, Women’s Empowerment, and the Ideal Village. Some of the work they do includes:

- Train parents to become better care givers
- Establish pre-school centers to teach language and math skills
